EurekaTopeka.com is an auction based website that allows registered members to create as many auctions as they wish for free, and set reserve prices for each auction. Yes it's like craigslist, but with the added feature of auction-based listings and without all the bad publicity. Yes, it functions a lot like eBay without the negative feedback restrictions eBay has implemented.
The website is already set up and running with 800 registered members and requires little attention. (There are over 1000 people already signed up, but some haven't confirmed their email.)
Our membership isn't only from Topeka, we gained members from Michigan to Florida all the way to Las Vegas. Yes, it's true!
There are currently several banner sponsors that help fund the costs of running the website. Most have agreed to either 6 month or 1 year contracts and regularly renew each time. If you sell more banner ads, the more money you'll make.

A "pay per auction" feature is available in the administration area, but we found it to not be very profitable. Once we started to give the novelty of free auctions away and started charging for advertising, we made more profit in 3 months that we did the previous year!
